Identity theft is becoming the sport of crooks and scam artists that gains them ill gotten benefits from your credit and reputation. The scenario is played over every minute of every day in the United states and around the world; your wallet or purse is stolen and the thief is as much interested in your cards as in your cash. If you are near home, maybe you kept your last credit card statement so you know where to call to block your card. Maybe you are the type who keeps a current listing of all your personal documents. Or maybe not. If you are away from home or if your loss occurs after banker’s hours, you likely don't know what numbers to call to block your personal documents from being used by the thief. Got Anxiety? The longer a thief has your card, the more complicated it becomes to re-establish your credit and identity. If only you could call the card issuing company, the card number would be blocked and no additional charges would be accepted on that card.

IntelliSolve has developed a device and method for reporting your stolen or lost documents so that they can be immediately blocked. In cooperation with Brigham Young University (BYU), the Identity Theft Protector (pat. pending) was developed for easy access in high traffic areas like malls, hotels, banks, grocery stores, police stations and a multitude of locations that will allow you to report your stolen documents and protect your identity and your good credit. Identity Theft Protector is being developed for domestic and international use, including a future web based version. Our goal is to restore your peace of mind and reduce the negative impact of losing your personal documents.

The key to protecting yourself from document theft is to respond quickly to block the documents from being used. The Identity Theft Protector allows you to block all of your crucial, personal documents quickly for a nominal charge. The fee is not a monthly assessment, like some identity protection services, but a simple, one time service fee of about $20. After paying the fee, the Identity Theft Protector guides you through a large range of possible documents, credit cards and personal identification documents. You pick the documents you have that you want blocked, then you are given immediate access to the toll free number of the card issuing company. Touch the screen and the telephone number is automatically dialed for you. This takes you to a live person, not a recording. None of your personal information is stored or cached in the Identity Theft Protector, so you don't risk being hacked after using the device. Now you can have your stolen cards blocked and relieve yourself of enormous worry about your personal liability. Identity Theft Protector will be marketed through The Vision Group, Inc. The BYU marketing study estimated (conservatively, of course) that if Identity Theft Protector were used by 1.8% of the domestic population each year, annual revenues would be $54 million.
